Further to the discussions this morning with Francisco Santos, the promoter for the Portimao Event, Mr Paulo Pinheiro CEO of Autodromo International Algarve, Bob Berridge of Group C Racing and Roger Cowman of the Euroboss Series about the existing status and forecasts for the continuing disruption caused by the Volcanic activity, we have jointly agreed to withdraw the EuroBOSS event from the racemeeting scheduled for the weekend 24/25 April.
On examination of the facts available surrounding the severe nature of the apparent travel disruption, we cannot guarantee that competitors will able to travel effectively either to or from this event.
Under these circumstances a decision has been made to reschedule the event for later in the year. Discussions will start early next week with the Promoter to find and agree a mutually convenient date.
